I have had three ( 3 ) operations on my right led this past year. The first was to get a partial knee replacement ( btw never go halfway ); the second was to put a plate in my right led as my leg was broken due to the operation; the last one was a total right knee and leg plate redo.
I am walking now and never ever realised till this year the gift of walking.
Whom do we walk with?
With friends and ourselves.
With birds and light rains
To pray.
And to talk. To Talk with Jesus. …side by side, inside and outside with my Jesus my talking with Jesus has me engaged in both listening and speaking; thinking and meditating. Our talking is different from my praying. Talking with Jesus is hearing him from within.
Romans 13 Young’s Literal Translation illustrates our talk, our walk,
‘… the love to the neighbor doth work no ill; the love, therefore, [is] the fulness of law. 11And this, knowing the time, that for us, the hour already [is] to be aroused out of sleep, for now nearer [is] our salvation than when we did believe; 12 the night did advance, and the day came nigh; let us lay aside, therefore, the works of the darkness, and let us put on the armour of the light; 13 as in day-time, let us walk becomingly; not in revellings and drunkennesses, not in chamberings and lasciviousnesses, not in strife and emulation; 14 but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the flesh take no no forethought — for desires.’
I put on my armour of light on with my community: friends and family; while walking and talking; on community the, my internal light shines outwardly in darkness.
What is my internal light? Till verse 14 it is us putting on; us laying aside. Till verse 14 I walk in community.
But in 14, I put on Jesus by myself ( ye ). He is within me through the light of his word, our talks. And we walk together.
Walk with the eternal Jesus, the eternal word ( Psalm 119: 89 ‘ Your word, O Lord, it stands firm ( eternal ) in the heavens.’
I walk eternally with Him.
Walk this day; all days, walk.
