a short January Lulu 2015
Priscilla is back in the UK today!! The last day of January!
First, please forgive me for not writing earlier. Priscilla had a cancer removed from her eye lid this past Monday. The Doctors believed they got it all but they wanted to check. We were twenty minutes from cancelling her return flight last night but the doctor cleared her to travel. Here is how great our God is: at the airport a steward saw her bandage; Priscilla told her the surgery story; she boarded the plane; sat in economy.
And the airline steward came to her seat and moved her up to Business class. She ate Filet Mignon as she sipped a bottle of red wine all the way home. She is really feeling good.
It has been so hectic this last week and a half that I haven’t been able to call or email a number of you. Please forgive. Below is what Priscilla wrote yesterday for our January Lulu
Dear Family and Friends,
We wish you Gods blessings and His peace in this New Year.
Sometimes the unexpected happens, and so I find myself still here in New York instead of London with my Charlie. I went for a routine eye check-up which ended in a surgery but than had to postpone my flight back to London tonight. This really is small in the light of the troubles in the world but it has been a trial.
Charlie sent me a beautiful piece that he wrote about Mary and Elizabeth from the book of Luke. Both women were pregnant, both ordained by God for a life that they could never have imagined. Their pregnancies filled them emotionally, and spiritually as well as physically.
An unwanted pregnancy can cause fear, dread and despair, just like an unexpected event.
I have to be honest and admit that I was despairing over my unexpected events because I was also sick with Shingles and was limited in the amount of time I could have with my children and grandchildren but than I prayed, and God reminded me that He is “the mighty one has done great things for me-holy is his name and his mercy extends to those who hear him, from generation to generation.” Luke 1:49-50.
The New Year belongs to God, his will, his ways, and His plans. We belong to him. God bless you in this New Year. I am feeling so much better, expecting His love.
Love Charlie and Priscilla
from Charlie
Luke 1:37 ‘For nothing is impossible for God.’ He loves.
