Come to the edge, by Logue, a favorite poem

3 Jul

Christopher Logue

Come to the edge.
We might fall.
Come to the edge.
It’s too high!
COME TO THE EDGE!
And they came,
and he pushed,
and they flew.

Logue’s verbs, come, come, came, invite and push and promise that if I risk, i fall; fly; fail. I want to write poetry to fail myself, well.
Fail in my risk
